Introduction
Community Medicine is that branch of medicine, which deals with the study of provision of preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative, and evaluative services to the community at large, through an organized comprehensive healthcare delivery system.
Department of Community Medicine Peoples University of Medical & Health Sciences Nawabshah is working since 1974 and is imparting knowledge to undergraduate in the third professional, 4th year MBBS students through lectures, tutorials, presentations and field visits in the subject. Field visits of places of public health importance, household survey and research work are being arranged regularly. The Faculty of Community Health Sciences was established in January 2011. Since 2012, the department has been running MPH program which is of two years duration. After that BSPH Program was started in 2017 and then in 2018, MSPH Program was introduced. M. Phil Program was also introduced in the year 2019.
