IT Services for Medical Universities

1. PERN Network and Eduroam Wi-Fi: We provide access to the Pakistan Education and Research Network (PERN) and Eduroam Wi-Fi network across our main and new campuses. This high-speed, secure network ensures seamless connectivity for students, faculty, and staff, enabling them to access online resources, research databases, and educational materials from anywhere on campus.

2. HEC Video Conferencing Facility
Purpose: Enables seamless communication and collaboration among students, faculty, researchers, and administrators across institutions and campuses.

Features: High-definition video and audio, multipoint connectivity for large meetings, remote learning capabilities, research collaboration, administrative meetings, and workshops.

Benefits: Facilitates inclusivity, accessibility, and engagement in education and research, transcends geographical barriers, saves time and resources associated with travel, and offers comprehensive technical support.

3. ID Card Facility: Every student, faculty member, officer, and staff member is issued an ID card, which serves as a gateway to various campus facilities and IT services. The ID card allows for authentication and access control to campus buildings, libraries, computer labs, and online resources.

4. Open Journal System Facility: Our universities facilitate scholarly publishing and knowledge dissemination through the Open Journal System (OJS). This platform enables researchers and academics to publish their work in peer-reviewed journals, fostering academic excellence and contributing to the advancement of medical science.

5. Online Medical Video Portal: We offer a vast repository of educational videos covering a wide range of medical topics.

6. Koha Books Software: Our libraries are powered by Koha, an open-source integrated library system. Koha facilitates efficient cataloging, circulation, and management of library resources, providing students and faculty with easy access to a diverse collection of medical books, journals, and other materials.

7. Biometric Attendance System: To streamline attendance tracking and ensure accountability, we have implemented a biometric attendance system. 12. MikroTik Server and Active Directory Integration for 3000+ Users

MikroTik Server:
• Manages network traffic, enforces security policies, and optimizes performance.
Prioritizes critical traffic and offers VPN services for remote access.
• Monitors usage and implements firewall rules for security.

Active Directory Integration:
Centralizes authentication and user management.
Enables single sign-on and enforces group policies.
• Streamlines account provisioning and deprovisioning.

Bandwidth Allocation:
• Total bandwidth: 300 Mbps.
• Implements fair allocation and dynamic adjustments.
• Prioritizes critical traffic and monitors usage for optimization
