About BSN

Introduction

The Department of Information Technology at Peoples University of Medical & Health Sciences for Women (PUMHSW) was established in 2011 with the mission to deliver reliable, innovative, and forward-thinking IT services to students, faculty, officers, and staff. Initially envisioned as part of the Learning Resources Center at Peoples Medical College, the department started its journey with only 20 computers for student use and basic DSL internet connectivity.
As the institution evolved into PUMHSW, the IT Department was officially inaugurated to address the growing technological demands of a modern university. Over the years, it has expanded its capabilities and achieved significant milestones, including the establishment of a Digital Library, the introduction and expansion of Wi-Fi services for students, and the development of a fully equipped video conferencing room to facilitate online learning and virtual collaboration.
Through its unwavering dedication, the IT Department ensures the seamless integration of technology throughout the university. By managing high-speed internet, wireless networks, robust digital portals, and implementing advanced smart classroom systems, it continuously enhances both the educational and administrative experience for the university community.
As a cornerstone of PUMHSW’s digital transformation journey, the IT Department aligns with global trends in education and research. With a steadfast focus on innovation and excellence, it remains committed to empowering the university to achieve its vision of becoming a leader in technology-driven education and healthcare training.
