Dr. Aamir has serves in several domains apart from his regular duties, he is the Focal Person and Member of the Institutional Review Board for the Office of the Research at the Institute of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Sciences. He specializes in health promotion and physical education, with keen interest in psychological and public health aspects of physical activity and obesity. He is the leading author from Pakistan exploring the topic of predatory journals.  His research interests include psychological and public health aspects of physical activity and non-communicable diseases (particularly obesity, diabetes and cancers), medical education, and bioethics.
