Introduction to the Office of the Research

We are committed to promote excellence in research and scientific communication. Our students are rigorously trained during the final year in their research project ? a mandatory requirement for their degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy. We are supported by the team of supervisors striving to improve the skills of students in thesis writing.

Office of the Research (OfRes) was established in January 2017 with an aim to oversee the matters relevant to undergraduate research at the Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences. We simultaneously established our Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, under the umbrella of Office of the Research, to manage the ethical issues related to research projects undertaken by the undergraduate students of the institute.

Students are trained from basic level of research writing and skills to the advanced ways of conducting research. This is reflected by inclusion of scientific inquiry and research methodology as a curricular requirement. Moreover, they are trained for using skills related to communication and information technology. We hope that our students demonstrate an excellent performance towards research activities in future, based on the skills gained from their mentors and supervisors.
